Out on the A4

A bit of a runaround day today with things to do in Marlborough and Hungerford. Apart from en-route sightings of Buzzard, Red kite and Kestrel the only birding managed were brief stops at Froxfield and Chilton Foliat. The former came up with four Little Egrets and two Herons while Chilton Foliat had a single Little Egret, several Gadwall amongst the Mallards and a couple of Little Grebe. Highlight of the day was a lunch stop at the Pelican Inn Froxfield where a fine pint and an excellent Bacon and Brie Baguette were had. Well worth stopping if you are in the area.
