A half-hour at Exmouth

On a drive down to Exmouth for work  there were plenty of Buzzards seen, also large numbers of Mute Swans feeding in the wet fields along the M5. A half hours birding on the estuary, although only with my small binoculars was quite productive. The tide had just turned and it was almost dusk so there were thousands of birds moving in as the water receded. Flocks of Brent Geese arrived as did hundreds of Gulls. Waders identified were Curlew, Godwits, Redshank, Turnstone and Oystercatcher.
