Dodging Showers at the Water Park

A quick walk with the dog this morning got me Chiffchaff , three or four Goldcrests and four Swallows. Then it was off to the Water Park. For a change I started at Shorncote which was pretty quiet, a flock of around twenty-five Lapwings about the best thing seen. Moving on to Kent End there were eight Little Grebe and a couple of Pochard. A bit more to see from Twitchers, with several hundred Wigeon on and around the lake and eighteen Curlew, eighty or so Lapwings and a Green Sandpiper on the scrape. A couple of Kestrels were flying around and they kept putting the Lapwing up. Final call was at Eysey which turned up a Peregrine sitting up on a mound having a good look around. Also here was a Little Ringed Plover along with the usual Mallards.IMG_2059 (1024x760)
