Afternoon Dog Walk

I had a pleasant late afternoon walk with the dog today. Along past Folly Farm, across the bottom of Liddington Hill and back through Badbury. Fortunately I managed to dodge the showers and there was even a bit of sunshine. The Corn Buntings were in good voice with more than a dozen seen or heard. A handful of Yellowhammers were singing and there were a few Goldfinches and a couple of Linnets seen. A few Swallows and House Martins were around but no sign of any Swifts. Nearer to Badbury Skylarks were in song flight and in Badbury itself a few more House Martins were around.
