After the Rain

After the weather being dry but dull while I was at work it was a bit annoying to be driving home in extremely heavy rain. It looked like any chance of a walk would be out of the question. However, after I had been home for about half-an -hour the rain stopped and it brightened up a bit. I decided to head for Liddington again.  First bird seen was a Buzzard and then a few Lesser black-backed Gulls. I then recorded my second fifty plus flock of Corn Buntings along with about half as many Yellowhammers. Two smart-looking male Reed Buntings were noted, also at least one female. Other birds seen were 3 Fieldfare, Blackbird, Chaffinch, Dunnock and Blue Tit. A Song Thrush was singing throughout.
