Evening Stroll

My son suggested we took the dog for a walk along the Ridgeway. We drove to Charlbury Hill and then walked east on the Ridgeway. It was fairly cold with next to no wind, a hazy but clear sky with a waxing crescent moon. We turned up the mud track across Lammy Down to the edge of  Russley Downs, then looped down the lane to Ridgeway Farm and then back along the Ridgeway to the car. In all it was a touch over four miles which we completed in around an hour and twenty minutes. Wildlife interest was provided by two Rabbits seen, a Red Legged Partridge, two Barn Owls and a Tawny Owl heard and then on the drive home a brief glimpse of a Tawny Owl at Fox Hill.
