Coate again

Another quick visit to the flood water at Coate was the only birding I could fit in today. Many more birds to be seen though with at least thirty Pied Wagtails and a few Linnet, Goldfinch and Jackdaws with the horses. On the water were fifty-two Lapwing, around thirty-five Teal and a few LBB and Black-headed Gulls. A Wren and Blackbird were heard and the House Sparrows were still around the farm buildings. I did give the field opposite the house a good scan as Golden Plover had found it to their liking in previous years. No such luck with just a few Wood Pigeon found.
