Popped down to Coate Water this evening with the dog. First birds seen were a couple of Grey Wagtails on the outflow. Three Common Terns were feeding on the main lake which they were sharing with twenty-one Mute Swans and a large number of kids in canoes. In the woods a total of four Song Thrushes were singing and singles of Wren and Blackbird were seen. A Kingfisher was again heard and a lone Black Headed Gull flew over.
