Wiltshire Walk

Not much chance of going far today so it was only the afternoon dog walk to look forward to as far as birding went. I headed off to the Ridgeway at about four and walked from Charlbury Hill along to the edge of Russley Down. Loads of Whitethroat seen and one Lesser heard. Several Skylarks and Corn Buntings were seen. Five Yellow Wagtails were the highlight of the walk with a couple allowing close views. Final sightings  of the day in a small wooded area were Blackcap, Garden Warbler and Willow Warbler.

Hi Malc, what a good Welsh trip!
Can you tell me – am I too late now to see ring ousels at Liddington?

      Hi Jenny,
Apart from a possible straggler I would say you are too late. There was one still at Blakehill on Saturday. I think you will have to wait until autumn.
