All over the place

I had an hour and a half between finishing work and going to give blood so went to Stanton Park for a walk around the lake. On the water were a pair of Shoveler, a couple of Great Crested Grebe, some Mallard and Coot and four Mute Swan, one of which was on a nest. Reed Warbler and Bunting were seen and Sedge Warbler were heard. Also plenty of Blackcap, Chiffchaff and Willow Warbler. Good views were had of a Greater Spotted Woodpecker. After giving blood I stopped of at Coate floodwater where I saw a Common Sandpiper along with many Swallows and House Martin. Next stop was Charlbury Hill where a couple of Whinchat had been seen. There was no sign of them so I carried on to Russley Down. Here I saw two Whinchat and a Yellow Wagtail. A Raven was seen at Bishopstone. Final birding was whilst walking the dog between Folly Farm and the Ridgeway where along with Corn Bunting and Linnet were five Wheatear. So a bit of a mix of sites and some good birds.
